On 22 October 2015, the federal Parliament adopted a resolution entrusting the Court of Audit with two audits regarding the national health sector (on the one hand the the management fee for the medical insurance funds, on the other their financial responsibility). The Parliament also requested the Court of Audit to perform a third audit concerning the federal public institutions supervising the medical insurance funds. In its resolution, the Parliament requested the Court of Audit to report on those three audits in 2016, 2017 and 2018 respectively.
The Court of Audit published today the results of the third audit regarding the supervision of the medical insurance funds by a federal agency and two specialized services within the Department of Health. The full report is available in Dutch and French on the Court of Audit website.
