The Belgian Court of Audit examined in 2021 and 2022 a selection of public procurement contracts awarded by federal departments and organisations and has now reported to the Federal Parliament on this matter: the said departments and organisations have been showing a relatively good mastery of the public procurement regulations and have ensured compliance with them. The Court also analysed how three federal departments have managed their long-term contracts and how the public contracting process for the modernisation and design of the railway station of Mons has been conducted. It has made recommendations to further improve compliance with the public procurement regulations and set up an effective monitoring system.
