Policy on preventing and combating addictions in the Brussels-Capital Region

general assembly on September 20, 2023

The Belgian Court of Audit has examined the public policy on preventing and combating addictions in the Brussels-Capital Region, focussing on aspects such as the identification of needs, the setting of objectives, the performance of the steering process, the coordination, and the legality and regularity of the granting and payment of subsidies in 2019 and 2020. Considering the scope of public action on addictions, the audit has been carried out in three bodies vested with powers in this matter: Brussels Prevention & Security (BPS), the French Community Commission (COCOF) and the Joint Board of the Common Community Commission (COCOM/GGC).
