Occupational Diseases Fund (FMP/FBZ): Time Limits to Indemnify – Follow-up Audit

general assembly on July 15, 2015

The Belgian Court of Audit has examined during its follow-up audit how far the Occupational Diseases Fund has made up for the shortcomings noted in 2012, such as the management contracts that did not fully abide by the time limits for indemnifying set by the Charter for social security beneficiaries. Although the Court noticed a global improvement, the average length of the decision making process in 2014 remains above the 120 days set by the Charter. The Court therefore recommends that the Occupational Diseases Fund continues its efforts to shorten the processing cycle and to reform its system.
