Management of roadworks in the Brussels-Capital Region

The Belgian Court of Audit has examined how roadworks are managed in the Brussels-Capital Region through three major operators – Brussels Mobility, the public transport company STIB/MIVB and BELIRIS, in charge of building projects – in order to ensure that the works are adequately planned, managed and coordinated. Every year, 120,000 roadworks are carried out in the Brussels-Capital Region, 4,000 of which on a major scale.
