Knowledge management within the Federal State
general assembly on December 6, 2023
In its report to the Federal Parliament, the Belgian Court of Audit examined knowledge management in thirteen Federal departments, i.e. the way they identify, develop and share the knowledge of their staff to achieve the objectives set. The audited departments were generally aware of the importance of such management. However, further progress is to be made in areas such as risk management, strategy and monitoring, and in mapping knowledge and competencies. The departments also should better share resources with each other. The Court of Audit pointed out a number of good practices to roll out or adapt within other departments.
