Federal Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers – Audit of the staff management processes

In its report, the Belgian Court of Audit examined whether the Federal Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (Fedasil) keeps its personnel cycle under control to prevent staff management risks. The Court analysed the main staff management processes and monitored the implementation of the recommendations it had already made in an audit report of 2009. The Court recommends among others that Fedasil develops a risk-based analysis that specifically focuses on staff management, limit the use of fixed-term contracts to situations that justify it and, as a matter of principle, offer staff members a permanent contract.
