Expenditure during the Covid-19 crisis in the German-speaking Community - Support measures for businesses and individuals and compliance with public procurement regulations
general assembly on May 20, 2022
In response to the coronavirus pandemic in Belgium, the National Security Council activated the federal component of the contingency plan on 12 March 2020 in order to develop a health strategy to help curb the spread of the disease and protect the population. The health measures were immediately complemented with socio-economic support measures for affected businesses, including the self-employed and households. The report focuses on expenditure incurred by the German-speaking Community in 2020 and 2021 following the Covid-19 pandemic. It is divided in two parts: a thematic analysis of the socio-economic support measures and an analysis of compliance with public procurement regulations in the context of the pandemic.
