Public procurement and other regularity audits in the federal administration
general assembly on August 30, 2018
In 2016 and 2017, the Court of Audit analysed a series of public contracts for goods and services awarded by eight federal departments or agencies. Such purchases must comply with the strict rules of public procurement legislation and budgetary laws in order to ensure equal access to public procurement for all economic operators and the best use of public funds. The Court also examined the public contracts relating to the vehicle fleet and the expenditure relating to service trips abroad by federal departments. In its report, it makes various cross-cutting recommendations to help federal departments better comply with legal and regulatory provisions on public procurement.
