Belgian Court of Audit Receives ISO 9001:2015 certification

The Belgian Court of Audit received on 6 April 2022 its ISO 9001:2015 certification for the following processes leading to its core products:

• financial audit;
• performance and compliance audit;
• budget analysis;
• publication of lists of mandates and deposit of declarations of assets.

In order to continuously improve the quality of its organization and its products, the Court decided to consolidate its quality management system, ensuring that the system should be:

• authoritative and internationally recognized;
• able to evolve along with new insights into quality thinking;
• compatible with the INTOSAI Framework of Professional Pronouncements (IFPP);
• able to be certified externally and independently;
• able to be integrated in the existing processes of the Court.

Based on those requirements, the Belgian Court of Audit decided to apply the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard and to prepare for external certification by an independent organization. The result was highly positive: the Court’s quality management system fulfills all requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard. The official certification was awarded to the Court on 6 April 2022.
